"While at ITS I have made some good friends and have learnt a lot, all the staff are very friendly and very supportive and will help if there is anything you need help with."

Why did you choose to come to ITS?

I came to ITS because it was a smaller than my previous college. I knew I would be supported at ITS and not judged over my hearing impairment.

What qualifications did it involve?

While at ITS I have completed my Level 1 functional skills Maths and I am currently working towards my level 2. I have been awarded certificates for both ‘Basic Emergency Aid’ and ‘Understanding Autism’ and I am also doing my level 1 in health and social care.

What is next for you?

I would like to build up my confidence in talking to people so that I could maybe progress onto a job.

Comment from Martin Fitzgibbon (tutor at ITS College)

Bethany is adapting to learning at ITS college very well and applying herself very well to the Health and Social care course, she is able to work independently or as part of a team, she is thorough in seeking out the correct answer to and question asked of her. She is liked by all in the class and everyone chats to her. She has made some friends in the class and these have been taken in to the community as well, she is currently on the certificate in health and social care level1 and has some of the units completed we are aiming to conclude by the end of the year.
